Private cloud · dedicated on Swedish soil

Your own cloud. Private or dedicated.

The agility of cloud — API, self-service, scalability — but isolated for you. A private cloud on Kepler's own Swedish hardware, or a dedicated cloud on physical hardware reserved for you alone. You own operations and data, and it never leaves Sweden.

What is a private cloud?

Cloud convenience — without giving away control.

A private cloud gives you the same self-service and scalability as a public cloud, but in an environment isolated for you — no neighbours in the same virtual neighbourhood. It is the choice when compliance, performance or the principle that "our data should sit with us" weighs heavy.

Kepler runs your private cloud service on our own Swedish hardware with OpenStack as the engine. You get VMs, networking, storage and an open API — but on infrastructure you can point to, in a country you can name.

How a Planet works →

01

Isolation

Your own tenant, your own database, no shared tables. Your environment is yours — logically or physically separated.

02

Control

You own operations and configuration via an open OpenStack API. No black box, no lock-in.

03

Sovereignty

Swedish hardware, Swedish company, Swedish law. The data never leaves the country — no third-country transfers.

Private or dedicated?

Public, private or dedicated cloud?

The difference is about who you share hardware with — and how far the isolation goes. The more sensitive the data and the heavier the requirements, the further to the right.

FAQ

Private and dedicated cloud, straight up.

What is the difference between private cloud and dedicated cloud?
A private cloud is an isolated cloud environment reserved for you — logically separated, with your own tenant and database. A dedicated cloud goes a step further: physical hardware reserved for you alone, with no sharing at any level. Private is enough for most; dedicated is for the heaviest isolation and performance requirements.
Do I get cloud agility in a private cloud?
Yes. You get self-service, an open OpenStack API, CLI and Terraform, scalability and snapshots — the same way of working as a public cloud, but in an environment that is yours.
Where does the data sit?
On Kepler's own hardware in Falkenberg. Swedish company, Swedish law, no third-country transfers. You can always point to exactly where the data sits and who can access it.
Who is a private cloud for?
Companies with data-residency or compliance requirements, the public sector and procurement, regulated industries, and anyone who wants cloud agility without giving up control of operations.
Can we start private and move to dedicated later?
Yes. Start on a private cloud and move to dedicated hardware as requirements grow — same API and same data. Get in touch and we will map the right path.
